Hello Danny, sorry for the late answer, i'm not often there those days :) The song is entitled "Entre le boeuf et l'âne gris", you can find the lyrics on this page [link]
There are a lot versions of it on YouTube yet I didn't find out one that matches yours... unless it's part of a movie :? Let me know if you finaly discover where it comes from!

The version I have comes from a 30 minute special that was broadcast on the ARTS TV network back in December of 1982. The programme was all music, and featured a youth chorus and orchestra playing a number of French Christmas carols. I'm sure it was a French TV production (1982), but I've not been able to find it since I first saw it...
